Have you tried an Alpaca Tour?

It’s Wednesday

☀ High 21C and Low 14C. No Rain ☀ Happy Days

It’s been a few months since I went on the Alpaca tour. Since then, I have recommended a bunch of my friends + family to go do the same.

Amazing Alpaca Tours

An Alpaca tour is when you walk around with an Alpaca in your hands. Think dog walking but with an Alpaca instead of a dog.

There are a couple of companies (firms) running Alpaca tours all across Ireland. I went with K2Alpacas - but based on my research, they all offer quality service.

Here’s how a typical tour works:

Step 1: You book a ticket (costs 40eur/person on average but varies depending on who you choose to go with).

Step 2: You go there 20 minutes before the tour starts. It is important to go early as they will assign an Alpaca to you before you start the walk. If you delay, the tour will begin without you and you will have to do “catch-ups”.

Tip: There’s a lot of walking involved in muddy terrain. Wear a comfortable - non-expensive shoe because it will 100% get ruined.

You will have your own Alpaca to walk with. They are gentle and they rarely bite. If your kid is under 10, get one Alpaca for both of you.

During the walk, you will also have a chance to feed the Alpacas. It is a fun thing to do.

Here are a few fun facts about Alpacas:

  • Alpacas can spit, but they usually do so to establish dominance or when they feel threatened. They rarely spit at humans.

  • Dublin bus had two Alpacas ride them once. That’s the only time Alpacas were on public transport.

INTERESTING BIT OF THE DAY

Ireland’s first 24/7 pizza vending machine comes to Dublin. Bosca Pizza located at Texaco Service Station, Newcastle, Co. Dublin.

Have a fun day.

Thanks, Khalid.
